International Forum of Social Entrepreneurship is held in Vinnytsia

On September 3, 2021, the International Forum of Social Entrepreneurship in Vinnytsia began its work. The forum includes a fair of social enterprises, awards for the best social enterprises in Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia region, panel discussions on the future of social entrepreneurship, business meetings and pitching of the best food. The participants of the forum were greeted by Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia Andriy Ocheretny, Rector of Donetsk National University named after Vasyl Stus Roman Hryniuk, Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Larysa Bilozir, Founder of Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Pavlo Sheremet. The distinguished guests noted the importance of social entrepreneurship for the country, congratulated all participants on Entrepreneur’s Day and Social Enterprise Day, noted the rapid growth of social enterprises and their influence in solving community problems, and stressed that legalization of social entrepreneurship is a priority for legislation. authorities. The co-organizers of the International Forum of Social Entrepreneurship are Vinnytsia City Council, Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University and Egalite International, an NGO that supports the international project to support young social entrepreneurs EUnlocking. The EUnlocking project helps to develop the social entrepreneurial potential of young people in Moldova and Ukraine, creating a favorable ecosystem for social enterprises, and inspiring and supporting more young social entrepreneurs to develop and support their innovative solutions to promote social inclusion and environmental sustainability in both countries. The project is co-financed by the European Union under its EU4Youth program.
